Our Story
The practice originally A.N. O`Connell was set up in the early 1960s. Dermot O`Malley trained there and became a partner in 1978. He changed the name in 1994 to Dermot O`Malley and Co.
Gary Beresford was admitted as a member of the institute in 1995 and was made a partner in 2000.
Ruairi McArdle has vast audit experience both in Ireland and internationally having previously worked for a large audit firm in Australia.
Ruairi was made partner in Dermot O’Malley in 2008.
Dermot retired in 2016 and we formed Beresford Mc Ardle ULC and continued to trade as DOMACO.
The business moved to Santry, Dublin in May 2017 after over 40 years in Belvedere Place Dublin 1.

Gary Beresford has been guiding clients towards financial success for over 30 years.
As a specialist in bespoke business advisory services, Gary has a proven track record of advising clients of all sizes, including private limited companies, on strategic and operational matters.
With a keen eye for identifying opportunities and mitigating risks, Gary has played a crucial role in the acquisition and disposal of businesses for some of the firm's largest clients.
He has also been instrumental in helping clients navigate the ever-evolving business landscape by restructuring their businesses to suit current demands.
Gary brings a wealth of experience and expertise to help clients achieve their financial goals.
Ruairi McArdle has been assisting and guiding clients for almost 30 years. Over 20 of those years have been spent as a Director at Beresford McArdle.
Ruairi specialises in bespoke business advisory services and advices clients of all sizes. His services are regularly retained by private limited companies to give both strategic and operational advice. He has acted for many of the firm’s largest clients in both acquisition and disposal of businesses over that last number of years.
He has also been involved with general client base in restructuring their business to suit current business environment and demands.
